God’s Ways Are Above Men's Ways (or so the saying goes)
By :
Patrick Roberts
With liberality we churchgoers throw around the phrase, “God’s ways are higher than men’s ways.” Because this saying is so uncomplicated and, especially after we have repeated it so many times, it seems unbelievable that we still fail to understand it. One indication that we do not understand this saying, “God's ways are higher than men’s ways,” is our inability to live it as everyday, relevant truth.

On Spiritual Progress
By :
Patrick Roberts
We churchgoers have our certain ways of doing things, which we love for their familiar ease. Our love for familiarity even leads us to lift up tradition as profound or meaningful in itself. However there is nothing inherently meaningful about tradition (all by itself).
Break Up The Fallow Ground
By :
encourager
Our hearts are referred to in Scripture as soil. The Word of God is referred to as Seed. The condition of our hearts determine what kind of harvest we will receive from the Seed of the Word of God planted. Our hearts can become fallow ground in need of cultivating in order to produce a good harvest from the Seed sown in our hearts.
